Rules & Regulations

Article 1: ATTENDANCE AND PUNCTUALITY
Students are expected to attend classes regularly and punctually unless prevented by illness or other emergency. Any unexplained absence is truancy. If a student has to leave during the school day or if they feel ill, they are to report to the office. A note or phone call from a parent/guardian is required to excuse the student from school. Students will be considered truant if they leave the school or classroom without permission. The school day begins with assembly at 7:45 am, the lesson starts at 8:15a.m prompt (Mondays to Fridays).

Article 2: DRUGS, ALCOHOL & SMOKING
The possession, distribution, and/or use of alcohol or illicit drugs are NOT permitted in the school premises, regardless of age. Smoking is not permitted in the school, in the school bus, or at school sponsored activities. Being under the influence of alcohol will result in a mandatory suspension. Possession of alcohol or illegal drugs will result in mandatory suspension and possible police involvement.

Article 3: DRESS CODE
Students are expected to dress in a manner which reflects the educational nature of Noble Academy. Clothes with offensive or inflammatory language or graphics are unacceptable. Revealing or suggestive clothing is inappropriate in a learning environment. The school uniform which must be worn to school must be kept neat and tidy. No student is allowed to wear any other uniform other than the ones approved by the school. All students are to put on their Blazers every Monday. Only pin up ear rings and black leather watches are allowed for girls. No jewelries may be worn by boys.
Only plain black shoes with flat heels may be worn with white socks from Monday to Thursday and white canvas with white socks for sports on Fridays.

Article 4: FIGHTING AND/OR POSSESSION OF WEAPONS
Fighting and/or the possession of weapons will not be tolerated. Weapon replicas will be treated in the same manner as real weapons. Objects used to inflict damage or injury will be treated as weapons. Inflicting injury constitutes assault and police will become involved. Criminal charges may be laid.All fights will result in suspension. The police may be contacted depending on the nature of the altercation.
Committing physical assault that causes bodily harm will result in a mandatory expulsion. Police will be called upon to investigate all incidents involving weapons or suspected possession of weapons. Possessing a weapon will lead to a mandatory expulsion. Using a weapon to cause or threaten bodily harm will result in a mandatory expulsion.

Article 5: UNACCEPTABLE BEHAVIOURS
Students are expected to be courteous and considerate in dealings with other students. The following behaviours are not acceptable:
– physical, verbal, written, electronic, sexual, or psychological abuse – bullying or intimidation – swearing or other inappropriate language – discrimination on the basis of race, culture, language, religion, gender, disability, ,or any other personal attribute.


Article 6: PERSONAL ELECTRONIC DEVICES
Electronic devices such as, but not restricted to, cell phones, pagers, digital cameras, and video devices are not to be used during class time and/or scheduled school activities. These devices are prohibited in the school premises except only when there is a specific directive from the Principal that students should come to school with them for a specific purpose. Any of such items ceased may not be returned till the end of the term.
